SAMHSA recognizes the dramatic impact technology like NextStep Solution’s Electronic Health Records (EHRs) have on CCBHCs, helping clinics streamline care coordination while assisting in data collection and billing automation. Federal grants (up to $2 million annually, for two years) are now available for clinics who want to certify to become a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. SAMHSA is accepting applications from all 50 states for the funding expansion until March 10, 2020. This funding can also help facilities expand staffing and outreach, upgrade technology, and be better poised to satisfy the needs of their communities.
